Terms of Service
Effective 28 October 2026
These terms apply when you install or use the Tab Brainrot Meter Chrome extension, buy Pro, or use this website. Tab Brainrot Meter is made and run by Aditya Andurkar (“we”, “us”). By using the extension or buying Pro, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the extension.
1. Who can use it
Anyone can use the free extension. To buy Pro you must be old enough to make a binding purchase where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
2. What's free and what's Pro
The free version includes the tab count, brainrot levels, roasts, notifications, the “touch grass” cleanup and restoring your latest cleanup. Pro adds closing duplicate tabs, closing tabs idle for 24 hours or more, and a graveyard of your last 200 closed tabs. The current feature list is on the pricing section of this site.
3. Buying Pro
- Pro costs a one-time payment of US$4.99. It is not a subscription and you won't be charged again. Sales tax, VAT or GST may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Dodo's checkout terms apply to the payment itself, and your receipt comes from Dodo.
- After paying, Dodo emails you a license key. Enter it in the extension to unlock Pro.
- Your payment covers Pro for as long as we offer the extension, including updates to Pro features we release in that time.
4. Your license
- We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pro on up to 3 browsers at a time. Click “Remove key” in the extension to free up a browser.
- Don't share, resell or publish your license key.
- The extension checks your key with Dodo about once a week. If a payment is refunded or charged back, or a key is disabled for abuse, Pro stops working at the next check. If Dodo can't be reached, Pro keeps working.
5. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying Pro, no questions asked. See the Refund Policy for how. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or withdrawal rights your local consumer law gives you.
6. Closing tabs is your call
Cleanup features close tabs only when you confirm. The extension never closes pinned tabs, tabs playing audio or the tab you're on, and keeps closed tabs in the graveyard so you can restore them. Still, the graveyard isn't a backup: it holds a limited number of tabs, only saves ordinary web pages, and is deleted if you uninstall. Bookmark anything you can't afford to lose. We're not responsible for tabs, form data or unsaved work lost when tabs are closed.
7. It's a joke, mostly
The roasts, levels, aura points and “performance impact” figures are humor. The memory and CPU numbers are intentionally dramatic estimates, not measurements of your computer.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use the extension or this website to break the law, attack or overload our systems or Dodo's, or try to get Pro for other people without paying. The source code is publicly viewable, but publishing it doesn't give you permission to redistribute the extension or sell copies of it.
9. Changes and availability
We may update, change or stop offering the extension or its features. If we stop offering Pro within 14 days of your purchase, we'll refund you. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and mention it in the extension's release notes. Continuing to use the extension after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. No warranty
The extension is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for anything related to the extension is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the consumer laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
